MTT Software Manual

SCOPE
The purpose of the MTT Software Operator’s Manual is to inform the end user on operation of the McCoy Torque Turn software by outlining the software aspects of the system intended for power tongs and bucking units. MTT software features and configuration steps are described in the manual as outlined in the table of contents.

SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION
The McCoy Torque Turn (MTT) monitoring system combines software with external control hardware to provide real-time monitoring and control of tubular connections using hydraulic equipment. This allows for easy customer specification of makeup parameters, make-up process control, and evaluation of connection quality.

Dump valve response time 10 to 30 ms
Final torque measurement Average = optimum torque ±1 percent
Torque measurement accuracy 1 percent
Turns measurement accuracy ± 1 pulse (generated by turns counter)
Pressure accuracy less than 1 percent
